Welcome to our Room 1 blog! We are a class of Year 0- 2 students at Awahono School - Grey Valley, in Ahaura, near Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Our teachers are Mrs Hahn and Mrs Meikle.
Last week Room 1 visited Shantytown! We had a fantastic time getting to dress up like children did in the olden days. We got to play some old games such as pick up sticks and horseshoes, and we got to go for a ride on the steam train!
Hi Room One You guys look so cool in those outfits. You look really happy in the photo of you going on the train. The train was my favourite part of going to Shanty Town and the butchers shop where you had to count all of the flies. Great work keep it up.
