Day trip!

Last week we went on our end of year day trip with Room 2! We went for a swim in the morning and then went in buses and cars to Moana where we got on the Tranz Alpine train and rode into Greymouth. After that we went to the Aquatic Centre and had fish and chips for lunch before going back to school! We had so much fun!

Cricket

Last week Paddy came out to school and taught us some basic skills and tips for cricket. We played some games and then practised hitting the ball off the cone and fielding.

Swimming

Today the Year 6's came swimming with us and we showed them what we have been learning in the water. We had heaps of fun going under wand showing them the big bubbles we can make!

Well done to Chido our Super Reader, and to our Super Mathematician, Logan! 

Also well done to Kieran and Lacey who received classroom awards for their great attitude and always being very kind and helpful to their peers.

Olympics Day

Room 1 had such a fun day at our mini Olympics! Lots of medals were won by us all! 

Well done to Oliver who was the winner of the Olympic Values Gold Medal. This medal was awarded to Oliver for showing all the Olympic Values: Excellence, Friendship and Respect.

Wacky Wednesday!

Room 1 had such a fun day getting dressed up for our Dr. Seuss Wacky Wednesday! There was so much food brought along for our shared lunch - lucky there were plenty of hungry tummies!! 

Shantytown

Last week Room 1 visited Shantytown! We had a fantastic time getting to dress up like children did in the olden days. We got to play some old games such as pick up sticks and horseshoes, and we got to go for a ride on the steam train!
